As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant who can own core accounting processes and bring strong fundamentals to a growing finance team.
About the Role
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, with direct responsibility across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cost accounting activities. This role goes beyond transactional work and requires someone who understands how accounting flows through a manufacturing business. You’ll be involved in month-end close, inventory and cost tracking, and cross-functional problem-solving with operations and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice review, coding, approvals, customer billing, cash application, and vendor and customer reconciliations
- Review and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of day-to-day transactional accounting
- Support and maintain cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variances, and production-related costs
- Partner with operations and production teams to ensure accurate capture of material, labor, and overhead costs
- Assist with month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, inventory rollforwards, and supporting schedules
- Investigate and resolve variances, discrepancies, and out-of-balance issues across AP, AR, inventory, and the GL
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and internal controls as systems and volumes grow
- Support audits, reviews, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Hands-on experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and cost flows
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and production-related accounting data
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
